Never, Not Ever.

I never want to be a negative example. I want to be an inspiration. I never want to be the reason why someone feels stuck. I want to be the reason why they feel free. I never want to be the “love.” I want to be the “in love.” I never want to be the regret. I want to be the chance that was more than worth taking. I never want to be settled for. I want to be decided upon. I never want to be an option. I want to be the choice. I never want to be a pit in anyone’s stomach, a resentment or an obligation. I want to be the reason they smile, a bright light, and one of the best decisions they’ve ever made. I never want to be a what if, a should have been or a could have been. I want to be the “what is.” All of those other things, those are for someone else.
